Named for the moon goddess, selenite is light’s favorite mineral: it doesn’t reflect so much as carry, fiber-optic down its satin length. In Naica, Mexico, it grew into the largest crystals ever found — eleven-meter beams in a sealed cave. Patience, at that scale, looks like architecture.
